USB to GPIB

Friday, September 21st, 2007

We’re assuming that all omega scientific readers followed our advice and diligently purchased an ethernet to GPIB converter for their loved ones for Valentine’s Day.

Well, it may seem a ways off, but the holiday season is fast approaching and, as always, we are happy to help you find that special something for that special someone.

She probably loves the convenience of the GPIB converter she’s been using since February - she can remotely adminster GPIB devices over the internet or your local area network. You’ve probably noticed, however, that she never seems quite satisfied with a little bit of packet loss when controlling a local GPIB device.

We shan’t disappoint - make all of her wildest dreams come true with a USB to GPIB. In fact, try giving the gift one day early (the 24′th) and see if she gets the obvious tie-in of giving her a christmas eve present with a 24-pin GPIB output.

Don’t get caught giving her inferior technology that will leave her asking herself, “does he really know me anymore.”

The Breathtaking 5420…Yes, it’s that amazing

Thursday, August 30th, 2007

So I have to take just a quick minute to rave about my new office phone. I know, I know…an office phone? Sounds lame. But if you had this phone, you would know what I am talking about.

The Avaya 5420 is making my life so much easier, and not for any big special reason. No, it’s the soft, programmable buttons and crystal clear speakerphone. When you are on the phone with clients as much as I am, it’s nice to have a great speakerphone so you can multi-task. Most of the time, they don’t even realize I am on speakerphone. And the personalized ring patterns are great; have you ever had the same ring as someone else? Beyond annoying…so check out the Avaya 5420 phone…If you’re a business woman (or man) like me, I’m willing to bet you like it just as much as me.
